Irregular window frames & shadow/blur problems

I am interested in oddly-shaped window frames. I created my first upload, Ivy, with leaves and such. At first, I had a problem with getting the big, boxed shadow on Vista, but I figured out how to disable Vista shadows, and create my own.
With my new project, I'm creating a much simpler line, a long curve. I followed all the same steps, but I end up with a square, blurred box around the left and right frame, and NOT the top and bottom frame (even though it's the same image, just rotated). Blur is already set to off in WB.
