Mouse over flyout menu?

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 by hrairoorah | Discussion: ObjectDock

I know I asked this before, but at the time I was using the free version of ObjectDock. I have the Plus and I have a couple of flyouts, but I wish they would "flyout" at mouseover instead of clicking them. Like the weather docklet does. Is this possible?

Not at this time no. However I can ask that it be placed in as a user request for updates.

Then see if ya can get Jeff to take a break from building Fences   and at least slip out another beta of OD.

Hello...just bought OD plus and would like to second hrairoorah's motion.  Also, the first thing I tried was creating an 'Internet' flyout and putting by browsers in there...at first I only had IE and Firefox...the icons are pretty tiny and the speed on the left/right arrows is pretty fast...if you slip a lil bit left or right it starts scrolling way too fast.  Maybe following options as request for enhancement...

  • scroll speed on flyout menus
  • adjust icon size on flyout menus (weather flyout much bigger than the one I made), and
  • the above request for flyout on mouseover

Thanks a mil

I have added these as well. Thanks for that!

If it'll help, please add my name to that "fly out" request, Seabass! I've posted about that before on OD/OD+ issues. If I could get that feature added, I'd definitely buy the "New and Improved" OD+.

It is such a useful application, I can't see my computer (now or in the future) without it!

You should just need to place the contents of the Stacks docklet zip file into the docklets folder (C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets).  Then, rightclick on the dock you wish to use it on and click "Add Entry" and scroll down to Stack Docklet.  Then, right click on the new entry and click "Dock Entry Properties".  That's where you can setup the stack.

Is there any way to copy the "Desktop" docklet from Impulse Dock to OD and have it "fly out" that way?
