How to create a skin for vista

a brief tuto needed to make a vista skin in skinstudio

hello guys....i'm new to skinning....i want to know how to create skins for vista using skin studio.. the problem is when i create a new theme for vista using diamond skin......and try to edit controls...i donno how to modify those bmp's or png's

on the whoel i need ur help to lemme know the basics of using skin studio so that i can also contribute in here....

Skinstudio isn't used top create the images, it's used to apply them.  You need a separate app to create adn modify images.

I find the best way to start is to open Skin Studio and open a default skin image (set it to open in a program such as photoshop.) Then use it as a base to drawn a completly new image. Once you have a new image you can delete or hide the layer and save as PNG (for uploading to your new skin) and PSD (for future editing)
