More Plugins For DesktopX...

Do u know a place where to get more plugins for desktopx...
Particularly, I am looking for a multimedia plugin.... but lets share all......
or the news at least for more plugins...

You can write your own.  I know littleboy has.  ('m not smart enough to do it though.

What kind of multimedia plugin are you looking for? There is DXPlayer and it might already do what you need (although I don't know what the story is for Vista ).

1. For writing my own I will have to learn C++. Currently i m learning vbscript, animation & management. So I don't plan to learn it in near future.

2. I need a multimedia plugin for DesktopX which at least plays .aac or .mp4 format as all my music is in only this format. The DXplayer doesn't play it. I have tested. Also I wish i could make a dx multimedia player for my .dxtheme. I need a .dll for this like those come with DesktopX.
IN BRIEF I NEED .AAC PLAYER .DLL PLUGIN..and if it can play other formats too its even great.

I don't see any problems because this is a known audio formats. However I haven't nor one of them in my music library (my audio formats are mp3, flac and ogg)...

So please give me a few links to download 1-2 .aac and .mp4 files (just as examples) and you'll get a Player very and very soon.

As long as you have a directshow filter for AAC or MP4 installed and registered (such as CoreAAC), Windows Media Player will use it to decode the audio. You can then control WMP to play the file.

If you want to distribute a stand-alone player without the need to install those filters, that's another story

I never use WMP. I use Jetaudio and VLC. lt plays everything.
I want a .dll to make a dx multimedia player for my fist .dxtheme.
And if we get more plugins, It will extend our creativity.

Hmmm... The Player I have told about is created with the WMP ActiveX control. It uses it's own commands and controls but it play media files through WMP. And it will not be a .dll file. Just a widget/.dxpack that will play .aac, .mp4 and any of other music/video formats supported by WMP.

So tell me please - are you really need a Player that works through WMP for your future dxtheme?

Certainly it's possible to make absolutely new Player like Winamp with media library/playlists managing, spectrum analyzer and even equalizer. But there are two reasons why I'll never not do this:
1. This Player can not be based on DesktopX technology.
2. This work will take a lot of time but will not bring even a few dollars for its developer (as any other things we have uploaded here)...

I'm already a "master" for a long time (and much earlier than I have appeared on WC) because I have a registered Trade Mark is "Master-SP" for fishing spinner baits. So don't worry about.
