WB6 Rollup windows

Sunday, July 6, 2008 by yer_welcome | Discussion: Beginners

setiglass and setigreen are two of my favorite skins, used in XP and presently Vista HP SP1. A really nice feature is the rightclick to menubar rolls the window up or down as needed.

Are there anymore skins out there with this feature/ability?

thanks

Setting in WB allows this.

Loads of them, some have a roll up button, also.Unfortunately,it's not often stated in the description.Try some by Mike Bryant,vStyler or Pixtudio,(just to name a few)many of those have roll-up.

Mine do also but you have to disable the per-pixel feature in WB6 in order for them to show. I haven't been able to figure out how to add that button to the per-pixel buttons section yet, maybe someone can help in that area??    When you open WB6 click on the Systems Info, down at the bottom you will see the area to check off.

Hey Bushman; are you running the latest beta of SKS6, 6.10a[b].032, from Impulse, the additional buttons have been added to the per pixel buttons section. Just did a quick test on a per pixel skin, works like a charm.

What's the point of adding rollup buttons when as Rick has shown in the first reply, that you have two options built into wb,double left click or single right click on mouse, unless of coarse it's for early wb4.0 or even wb5.0 ?

The one's I've seen were for earlier versions.RickJP is correct,of course.WB6.1 will allow this in config.

From WB config can also set for min, max and close, should we get rid of those buttons , there are 2 actions and 8 settings in WB config, not including use skin setting, of which in SKS5 there are many (seems not in SKS6 yet), in SKS6 you can add 4 buttons, settings are rollup/down, command, context help and always on top, 3 of these are also in WB config, just gives skinners/users more usability of these options by having set buttons for some.

It's freedom baby! The freedom to do it your way. That's what skinning is all about, ain't it?

I think the reason Neil added rollup to perpixel window frames is because in Vista rightclick to rollup wasnt working correctly...at least it dosnt for me or vStyler. It acts the same way rightclick rollup acts in photoshop in XP.

Sorry but I should have mentioned that I ment using SKS5.  I'll be using SKS6 (from then on) after I finish this last wb skin. Thanks Cavan1 for letting me (for one) know, I'm glad SKS6 has the option to add buttons to the per-pixel ones.
