Wednesday, June 18, 2008 by Vampothika | Discussion: Skinning

okay.......probs with the 100 skin again.......i decided i needed pics to explain!!, cant believe i forgot those.......

the first pic shows the log off buttons just as black squares (number 1)  and number 2 shows that black graphic that

wont go away, depsite it not even being there anymore in the actual startpanelloggoff....

the second prob...(im not sure if it is a problem).....but i thought id show a pic also,  is that my skin in sk5 is not showing me vista or xp....i have to 'guess" which is which......

as before........any help is appreciated, cause this suite is the tribute suite for boxxi......and i really need to have it done....i have a lot of people patiently waiting on me so they can get to work on their stuff too........

Hello kitty.

What format are the graphics? If tga, have you set the alphachannel-option?
Or maybe the graphics are corrupt?
Different to say from here.

I have no clue on your 2nd question. Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall Skinstudio?
I am using version 6. So I'm not familiar with 5.5.
Sorry.

You got mail Kitty but Harley may be able to add some info as well. I was only able to fix the skin. What happened is a mystery to me.

1 - Black boxes= Start menu and Taskbar/Edit start menu loggoff images/button mouseover
(Turn off per pixel, using .bmp in this section, the button icons is what is black but
changing the setting on the mouse over image will fix it!

Image 2 was part of the bottom bar of the Start Panel when I saw the skin.

It is on Vista in the copy I got it is gone in xp.I think it could be trying to load the vista image .I will open the .xps in notepad and look at the addresses.

guys....im just going to restart the skin today, creating xp in sk5 first, then creating a substyle in sk6 and doing vista there (normally i do it the other way around....the other way, as you can see is giving me nothing but trouble...)

hopefully in a few days i can report my results....
