Monday, June 9, 2008 by Leo the Lion | Discussion: New Releases

Taken from the Apple website - click on external link above - iPhone 3G. With fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. And like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one — a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser. iPhone 3G. It redefines what a mobile phone can do — again.

Not sure I can resist any longer

It depends on what Telia charges here in DK, I already have the first gen. iPhone and I love it. Best damn phone I've ever had, because it's soooo much more than just a phone. I'll get the new one sooner or later though, perhaps even hold of for 3rd gen. that hopefully sports a better camera and some better software features like MMS and video recording. Can't believe some standard functionality like those aren't in the iPhone by default. You can get it by some of the apps through Installer though, but they're not really that good unfortunately.

I can resist for three reasons:
1. I don't have that kind of disposable income.
B. I don't like people, much less talking to them.

That's two reasons

I'am happy with the phone I have and don't need all that extra crap.  I accidently went online with my phone when I first got it , checking out the different features, and it cost me $$$.  So either I pay as I go or get a plan that includes online.  So I'll stick to mu computer for that and use the phone for talking and the pics when I need one.  And I do have AT&T.

I can resist AT&T and their lowsy coverage where I live, so I suppose yes, I can resist it. Verizon FTW. I'll settle with one of the LGs with touchscreens or the Glide. (Hacked, of course)

Wow. 3G is the technology. Not the size. The phone is 8 Gig or 16 Gig

I like all the features. I will replace my chocolate in due time when its old and worn out with possibly another LG. Maybe the LG shine, or the latest IPhone, if.. and only if they move away from ATT. I been a verizon customer for years and they have always treated me well.  the I phoner looks cool etc.. but not allowing multiple network use, is the killer for the deal..

The word out there is that you can only get the phone when you sign an inflated 2 year contract with AT&T. In the end your paying alot more for the phone.

It should have been replaced as soon as it was released.

I see the chocolate and my first thought (much like my first thought on seeing a VW New Beetle or a Pontiac Sunfire) is 'Wow, looks like it should only belong to a high school cheerleader.'

I actually got the chocolate because I need a slider phone and not a flip. Flip phones open too easily while im working and get broken. (I work construction) The LG 8550  chocolate Black, has been the most durable phone ive ever had. I have droped it countless times ,drop kicked it across parking lots, highways etc. (It is on a hip clip like my Ipod and they tend to come off at the most inconvienient times.) of all the phones ive owned It is the most rugged ive ever owned, Looking like hell now but still working like the day I bought it.

That and it looking simular to the Ipod of "scroll wheel and all" made it look attractive to me. I realize they will probably not carry the Chocolate when I replace mine, but another LG will be my choice. LG has impressed me with the sleek look and Outstanding durability put in to their phones.
