Desktopx Theme wallpaper Not working
Wednesday, June 4, 2008 by totalylost | Discussion: DesktopX
I have DesktopX 3.2 and have downloaded several themes from here and a few of them the wallpaper loads to the desktop but once the theme and desktopx has finished loading the theme you can not see the wallpaper unless you unload desktopx and view the main screen. Others it doesn't load the wallpaper at all.
How can I fix this where the wallpaper can be seen?

Here is the link https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=21602&libid=13
I'm not sure if that's an active link but if not, just type "Arnaez" in the Wincustomze search bar. And yes I do have an Impulse although I haven't used the IRC yet.
Here also is the link to a screenshot of the original Cryo Scenario http://skins3.wincustomize.com/DArnaez/screenshots/21602.jpg
I haven't done a screenshot of my desktop since the Prt Scr on my KB seems to be disabled. But you will have an idea how my DX looks like when you see the link. Mine is exactly like that but all the icons are off-centered since I cannot move them anymore. The only icons I have working are the computer and the monitor icons, all others are unresponding.

If you unload DX and reload the theme you should get everything back to the way you started.

You were right my friend. Unloading and loading the theme gets me back to the point where I left, 11 unresponding icons (

Ooops! I'm apologize Mr. Wizard, I forgot to tell you that I paid to have this theme downloaded. I think everybody else did who had this theme. The store link is here:

That's a drag.Current circumstances keep me from buying anything right now.(my broker is E.F. Nuttin')
Maybe someone who has the theme will pick up on this thread.
Try to move things to where you want, then save as I described. At least you'll be positioned.
I or someone may still be able to help, which icons/shortcuts did you want to change?
Also, have you thought of PM'ing the creator of this theme? If all else fails....

I will try to contact the creator Wizard. All in all, although some icons are unresponding, I believe this will somehow get a solution, either from the creator or some forum members that does have it. I am still glad the forum has helped me fix some of my problems, notably the missing wallpaper and the Windows icons. Now this theme is perfect with the exception of some icons. That's why I thank all the forum guys, especially to you Mr. Wizard and Bichur, you guys are exceptionally well and for that, I take off my hats for you. Thanks again!!!

in xp: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX
where 'owner' is you
you can just delete the whole folder - I'm guessing Dario's icons are widgets since dtx needs to be installed

Well Bichur, I made a little bit of progress. Now I got 4 of the 13 icons working compared to the original 11 out of 13. I can't still move the 9 icons that are unresponsive.

Bichur, I just found out that when I load the original, all the icons are working but without the wallpaper. And when I do the settings mentioned above to make the wallpaper appear, the icons become unresponsive. Got any idea about these?
