centered start button?

Friday, May 23, 2008 by jk3117 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

so i thought i heard somewhere that you could force the start button to the center with WB 6.1 but i can't figure out how. i'm sure i'm just not seeing some little checkbox somewhere. can anyone help me out? also, is it only with certain skins that this works? kinda like the extra titlebar buttons for roll-up etc? thanks

In the WB config:
Settings | Advanced User settings | Third checkbox from the bottom.

this option looks pretty cool in StealthOS but has issues in Optix, and Sirius. in those two skins, the start button bounces all over the joint. i should test a few other skins by other artists. check it out, zubaz! other than my customary lack of capitalization, everything is up to snuff! i can spell. i can't type!

Hey Zubaz, wasn't this for just Vista?

On XP I go to Advance User Setting and don't see an option to center the start button. Am I celebrating the weekend too early?

this option works as planned on Aero Metal and Aero Executive. no idea why Sirius and Optix have issues unless Mike has a conspiracy going on. he is a sneaky fellow.

On XP this option is "Enable Enhanced Remote Desktop Support" Philly and Zu.

Now that doesn't sound like "Center Start Button"

I'm guessing it may be an issue with animated start buttons.

The feature really isn't designed to accomodate every start button, moreso for Aero type orbs that some folks would rather see centered on a dual taskbar ... a la Aero.

Absolutely. Wish this feature was available for XP.

I agree with Bebi, would be nice to have that feature in XP.

Yeah it would be nice to have it as a feature for those who use it. Myself I like to have the taskbar as small as possible.

Maybe we can get them to work on that after we get Dreams for XP
