Insuring against Loss

Saturday, May 17, 2008 by Nielsen69 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

They decide how much coverage the client should receive, how much they should pay for it, or whether to even accept the risk and insure them.

I lost interest entirely... damned insurance company wouldn't insure against that...

.... and like the movie/pop stars who insure body parts for huge sums, I tried to insure my pecker for 5 mill ... but OPA (Oz Pensioners Assurance) refused cover, saying it don't work anymore, anyhow.

Yeah... I also went to Social Security to see if I could get unemployment benefits for it, but being a typical gov't dep't, they said I would have to prove it was out of work before payment could be approved.

Damned bureaucratic red tape... they say I gotta get a 'separation certificate' from its previous employer.

'separation certificate' from its previous employer.

If you ask her nice, maybe she'll separate it for you.

Nah...don't want it separated!! Wouldn't get him unemployment benefits that way...

But there again - if I asked her real nice like - maybe she'd put on the separation certificate that he was fired for not working very well at all (retired as dysfunctional) and I could see if it qualifies for a disability pension.

NOT FAIR!!! Typical bureaucratic dirty tactics!!!

Yup, in its bid to deny payment, Social Security sent out this provocatively dressed young woman - showing lots of cleavage and making rather suggestive movements/facial expressions - and soon thereafter, pecker's application for a disability pension was blown right out of the water.

Apparently one has to have a 95% disability to qualify for payment... so when she asked: "Didn't your mother ever tell you it was rude to point???", I knew pecker wouldn't be getting any disability pension or associated benefits/concessions.

I protested/argued on pecker's behalf, that it was just an involuntary nervous tic (plus citing medical evidence of arthritis, lumbago, sciatica, persistent indigestion and manic depression after missing out on a relationship with Angelina Jolie) but she was completely unmoved... citing section 4; paragraph 2; part C; sub-section 4a of the Social Security ACT, which says: "Where there's life there's hope, and where there's hope there's life; Social Security does not pay applicants if they have ANY hope at all."

Damn... knew I shoulda got that 5 mill cover back when were still lads.
