Life is good
A dose of reality...
Friday, May 9, 2008 by Fuzzy Logic | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I've had two accidents: the first (a slipped disc) left me unable to walk properly - I had five months of physiotherapy to get me back to almost normal (apart from a numb left foot which may be permanent). The second was a car accident where I had to be cut out of the car...
I've lost my job twice: The first (after being there 16 years) was a company which went bust leaving me penny-less for a month or so. The second (I was there only three months) was an accountancy partnership which started losing clients the day I got there... I got a new job (temporary) within two days of the last one - looks like that will be permanent soon
My father has been in hospital 7 times, three of those 999 emergencies (911 US?). The last time looked as thought he would not survive. He is now home, but not what he was. He was 88 last week. We do get some help, but I am sole carer.
I have very little time for myself (or WC).
Despite all that, right now I feel really good and positive. I am calm, relaxed, happy and content. Thing couldn't be going better.
All I can say about people who think they are having a hard time is get yourself a new perspective. Maybe things aren't that bad after all: life is what you make it
Life is good

I completely agree there Fuzzy. Times are hard and it is those that get down. Do the job no matter what it takes "Hard or Easy" makes no difference. It is all how you look at it and take it for what it is or is not. Being at peace with yourself and that of others is a better thing. Than that of always having a bad way about you.
Having things good and knowing it is a great thing. Something to hang on to and remember.

Keeping a positive outlook when life seems to kick you in the teeth a lot, can be very difficult. You seem to manage it well.
Good things happen to good people, eventually.
You is good people, Fuzzy.
Here's hoping good fortune finds you & yours, very soon. ![]()

.
I am in similar circumstances myself ... My wife is disabled with a Severe Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis condition and relies on me to help with her personal care ... It is a very much hands on type of care that sometimes can be very difficult for me , as I recently had 3 heart attacks ... so consequently I am always striving to remain level - headed in all of this ... and try to keep calm as much as I can ... stress is bad for me ...
.
~ and yes , times have been hard , and will get harder for me as my wife's condition will get worse , but , like yourself,Fuzzy,we just knuckle down , and literally count the blessings ...
.
No two days are the same for me , but I have learnt myself, over time to look at things with a controlled point of view ... and all I can see is just how lucky I have been to have survived those 3
heart attacks , and to be able to look after the missus .. and still have a bright outlook on life in general ..
~ Not forgetting my 'Internet Family' ( WC/DS forums ) from whom I continue to try and learn from on a day to day basis , and to which I feel it is a priveledge to know you all in one way or another...
Monty Python said /sung "" Always look on the Bright Side of Life ... ""
.
I could not agree more ...

Whatever will happen in the future, you surely have the right attitude to tackle it.

I agree Fuzzy. Well said. I hope things continue on the well side of life for you. Do the day, and let the day do you.
