Why stop at skins, etc?

I've mentioned in the past I like designing....[probably should do...since I'm an ark- ee- teck]...and I like bike-riding...so it was logical I'd combine the two.
This was inspired by Alex Moulton's bikes....in as much as it's an all-steel space-frame and fully suspended....except I wanted much of it quite different.
Moulton pre-dates all those sprung mountain bikes by a quarter of a century ...I learned to ride on one when I was 10 ....in 1965.
The only 'proprietary' frame component was/is the 'main' fork.... it's a Tange 'unicrown', reversed, re-raked, and with the fork-ends replaced. To give you an idea of the design/fabrication involved....the brazed-on front changer hanger was 1/4" mild steel plate...and 6 hours of 'reworking'.
The frame is Reynolds 531 ....and the tapered tubing in the rear triangle is probably over 50 years old [seat stay tubes].
Wheels included spoke-rolling [cut from longer ones] and are radial one side...laced X2 on the other. Brakes are 40-odd years old....internal drums.
It's quite satisfying to have started with a blank piece of paper...and been hands-on ALL the way to a functional/functioning reality....
