I was wondering if anybody has had any issues etc, with the new IE 8 beta ......
What would I expect to see if I downloaded this next version ?

I'm using FF 3.0b5. It's very stable and makes WC browsing/posting very speedy.

Why would it 'crash ? '

I'm also running the FF3b5 for 5-6 days and have had no crashes (yet) It does take several seconds to load up but that's probably due to the amount of memory it uses. I don't mind the program using a lot of memory as long as it does it's job well. I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10......increase the load up speed and give me back some of my needed extensions and it'll be close to a 10.
FF3b5 installs alongside version and uninstalls without effecting your prior version (at least the previous betas did)

Hate to think what would happen if there was no such thing as being a beta?
And for FF - it is still the so called reject of the net. It has many flaws and does terrible with most programs as are needed in the business world. Plus if you compare the Vista edition IE7 to IE7 for xp ... you see a big difference too.
But IE8 will be better after it is finished. Also the new Windows with of course the next MS Office.
Developers everywhere are ready to change the net to the new style and it will make things harder for those people using XP and IE6 completely. Which in their eyes is a security issue and IE8 is to do away with most of all the flaws used by a hacker to steal your info and such. Ya - right? But atleast they are trying to do something. With IE6 - you got nothing anymore and with FF you get only what they can figure out. If they do in time... which usually they don't till you get hit hard. Thus to say who or what is safiest? NONE are... you get whatever you get into with whatever browser.
IE8 will be a very nice browser when it is finished and will for sure out do the rest too!

Personally, wait for Beta 2.
