Got any tattoos?

So.
Got any tattoos?
Have they got a special meaning?
Just a drunken impulse?
Post them here and tell a story.
Mine:

All of mine are in memory of my son Jonathan who passed away at the age of 9. Always thought about getting some
earlier on in life but ended up glad I hadn't.
The one on my chest was the first one I got and was actually drawn for me by someone I knew online. Sorry not the best
picture of it. The green sections are a ribbon wrapped around the heart and the top two sections have my sons name and
the third is his dates of birth and death.
The one on my right arm was drawn by my other son, when he was 13, he knew I planned on getting more tattoos involving
his brother and he wanted to create one of them. My sons initials were JMC which he integrated into the handle design and
the chinese symbol on the handle is for love and the one on the blade is for sorrow.
The one on my left arm was done in the same sitting as the one on my right arm. This one was my concept but put together
by the tattoo artist who did it. In the center, obviously, is Jonathan, the two names above the dreamcatcher are my other
two children. The dates in the center feather are when Jonathan was born and when he died. And the other four feathers
have the names of my four nephews in them.
(This thread is in no way a plea for sympathy or condolences. It's been 5 1/2 years since I lost my son and I miss him everyday.
But that's not the point of the thread. The point is peoples tattoos and the stories behind them. Just in my case all of my
current and future tattoos will always include him. So please keep it about that. Thanks.)

:shudders: So, you're bald and covered in amniotic fluid? That's gotta be tough going through life looking like that.

Scars are nature's way of saying "you needed a tattoo"

The only thing I would do different for mine is had it put on the shoulder and not the bicep.

Thats why I get ones that I'd never want to be rid of.
And why I tell my sisters they aren't allowed to have any more kids. The dreamcatcher wouldn't look right with feathers added

Good point if you can't afford both. That's part of the reason I never got any when I was younger.

Got a few of those too. But, unless they're bad ones, they seem to shrink and fade faster.
