Free WC Sub for a logo

Most of you know I own a company named Audiomasters that specializes in high end home theater.I opened Audiomasters in' 97.Now 11 years later we have been through many changes from a company that originally was all car audio to what we are today.Seeing both growth and atrophy through the years you realize that change is alwats nessecary to excel.
We are now facing an exciting time in the industry.The current project I am working on could drastically change Audiomasters for ever!With such an important endevor ahead I want to make sure I take each step carefully and coorectly.That is why I am calling on you!
Audiomasters is looking at a possible joint venture with a large Cable and Internet ,VOIP provider .Our first step is ahead so one the first things needed is a KICK_ _ _ LOGO.So here is what we are doing I have till about Monday of next week to finish my proposal.
It will probably be 3-4 weeks before we get final confirmation on the design but there will be a logo chosen.The artist with the chosen logo will recieve a WCsub. for a year!
So everyone fire up some art programs and lets get some killer logos!!!Below is an image kinda in the realm of what I want but I am here for fresh new I daes so don't feel limited !! Let your creative juices flow!!!
This image has the basic Info needed in the logo.

Harley,........are you saying that it has to say "media comcast edition' in the logo?

Having done logos before, it is easier if you decide colors, mabye your company's colors(RGB values)? Are you going to print it(CMYK)? or just for digital use? Does it need to be in vector graphics? often needed for t-shirts and such.

Comcast might want to have its "namelogo" "untouched" in the new logo?? Or are they ok with you creating a totally new logo? ...businesses can be a bit touchy about that. What guidelines did you receive if any?

If it's the Comcast owned by The Cox Corporation, they will probably require you to use their logo.
Word of warning...be very careful getting in bed with them.

As long as you retain controlling interest in your company you should be ok.
You also need to make sure that their subcontractors do not make you look bad in your customer’s eyes. They have been known to subcontract out installation and repair services and some of the subcontractors leave something to be desired when it comes their knowledge and to customer service.

I'd suggest going with something more sleek, professional and printworthy, Comcast is a big player not likely to tolerate anything too garish with their name on it.

Of course , it all depends what your going to do with the logo, Im thinking print, truck logos, business cards perhaps?
