Weekly Poll: Desktop vs Laptop

FIGHT!

Monday, March 17, 2008 by Zoomba | Discussion: WinCustomize News

This week, a less controversial poll.  This one comes from Snidely Whiplash on IRC:

Do you primarily use a Desktop PC or a Laptop?

This question was inspired by the Show Your Computer Setup thread and the surprising number of laptops shown off.

Results will be posted on Tuesday (office is closed Monday).

"I use both equally" and thank God for Multiplicity!

Well sir, you would think so, but the way the last two polls were answered, I wouldn't put any money on this.

Nicely done Zubaz.

For me my laptop is more practical to use because of mobility. I don't think I've used my desktop PC more that 4 times this last year.

I've got both and untill recently (last year) the laptop was pretty much #1. Since Nov 2007 tho, I've had a desktop with Vista pre-installed and I like it better

I have a laptop, but use my desktop far more often. My wife uses the laptop more often...

My desktop PC at the office is my primary work horse.  I do 90% of my daily work on it.  The laptop beside me mostly handles IRC, email, testing when I'm in the office.  It's my main machine though whenever I travel or am away from the office.

At home, it's just a desktop PC.

Mostly desktop (since it has the 24" monitor, way better to work with), though I do have a laptop as well.

How coincidental.....today's the first time I've ever used a laptop.....my son gave me his 17" MacBook Pro to take for a spin as I'm away from home....very very nice......but would never replace my desktop....miss my big screen.......but still....has made it onto my wishlist....
