hiding behind applications

hey people! i have this slight problem.does anyone know how to hide the objectdock bar behind applications that uses the full screen.let me elaborate.i positioned the bar at the top,center. and when i open up internet explorer (or any other browser) and maximize the window the object bar is still there thus blocking the bar where you type in the website address.
is there a way i can hide it when using full-windowed applications but when i minimize them, i can see it on my desktop.
