A bad start to 2008

as most of you know my brother passed away on the 11th of february this year, well now his wife (my sister in law) is in
hospital not expecting to live out 24 hours. she has had terminal bone cancer for the last 3 years and with my brother dying
she seems to have given up the fight. she leaves behnd 3 daughters aged 16, 14 and 12 who are going to have deal with not only losing their father but now 3 weeks later their mother as well. this is not the start to 2008 that i envisioned but i guess
life throws us hardballs like this sometimes.

Unfortunately, when we are born no guarantee is given to us as to what our life will bring us. From what little I have read and have pick up you certainly have been presently with a lot of challenges. My thoughts go out to you and your family.

man...you certainly have a tragic unfolding of events Nimbin....truly an unbelievable amount of loss....thx for sharing man...hope the future has more sunshine + ups than you + your family are currently absorbing...as you probably are aware, all one can do is adapt to 'what is' + try to be productive + 'soldier on' to the future, however, the loss being never far from memory + the void never filled really when these terrible things befall us - all one can do is adapt to 'what is' + try to be productive + 'soldier on', albeit with a new outlook that life isn't always as storybook perfect as Hollywood + the media portray it to be....heartfelt condolences man....I have been in your shoes...

My deepest heartfelt condolences. The children....oh Lord, it will get worse before it gets better....but know prayers and good thoughts are being held for all of your dear ones. May her passing be easy.

I'm really bothered by this.. I'd like to think that there are reasons for everything.. In your case..your immediate family's case.. I just don't know..   I hope your as strong as I think you are... you encourage me all the time.. without perhaps knowing it.. Perhaps that's one of your roles in life my friend.. I can, but feel extremely fortunate, as I read this and hope that soon.. something rewarding will come your way.

Life seems to be the big mystery and is sometimes very hard to take.
I hope whatever does happen to the kids - that they stay together!
Our prayers here are for them and hopes that all will endure all these changes well.

Sorry to hear about that, Nimbin. Sometimes it just seems to pile on, doesn't it? I really hope everything turns out for the best.

Above all, help those kids keep their chins up ...

Nimbin, im sorry to hear about what has happened and is happening. i want you to remember that even though death is painful for the rest of us still alive, for those that have passed away, their pain has gone and they are at peace............

Sorry to hear of your losses, especially with all the children involed...and in their teen age years. Must be extremly hard on them. Prayers with everyone and to everyone.
