Is there a way to tie a key stroke the the ObjectDock Start Menu item?

Using Vista, I've moved the taskbar to the right side of my widescreen monitor; making it easier to read the program title when many applications and files are open. Then I created a dock with the Start Menu on it and put it at the bottom left (hiding offscreen until requested). This all works great with the mouse, but when I hit the window key on the keyboard, the start menu pops up at the top right of the screen where the taskbar Start Menu button is.
Long story longer; is there a way to initiate the ObjectDock Start Menu item with a keystroke?
