Site World Map Member interaction idea
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 by Keila | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I was thinking about a App. like Object Dock that would be kept on WC that you could click on and it would show which members live in that area of that world.
I know that we had the Froggle thing but, I am thinking something more interactive.
Show people by state.
Be able to PM from the App.
Members could post about where they live.
It could have the time for each area shown in a mouse over.
Members could use Icons to show the weather in their area.
TOTAL SITE INTERACTION!
What do you think? Would anyone know how to pull something like this off?
Would the site allow it? "Question for you Frogboy"
Does anyone have any other ideas about what the App. could show.

I think Brad's idea was good, what it needed was an easy link from the WC Home Page.
Maybe a DX Widget that would link to Brad's map. Then people could have the widget on their desktop, click it and you go see where the members of the community are. Well at least those that would add themselves.
I think having some thing on the Stardock server would just take up too much room,(bandwidth) especially if it were to be interactive. I maybe wrong so someone please correct me if I am.

I agree with Philly though . .a link on WC and in the Wiki would tie it together more.

A lot of people that were on the first one are not on this one though including me. I did not even know about this one.

The top one appears to have more members (and a better logo)
