Error On Shutdown

Wednesday, February 20, 2008 by Purrdy | Discussion: WindowBlinds

When shutting down I get this:

WBTtoOBSkinConverter.exe - DLL failed to initialize.....

Is this connected to Window Blinds?

Thanks Purrdy...

That looks like RightClick or ObjectBar.  Are you running one or the other?

I'm running RightClick but uninstalled OB...

I just rolled back with an Acronis Image - could be a mix up as SD says not installed, but it still in Program Files! Will 'investigate and let u know..

thanks a lot..

I've reinstalled XP and still the error pops up sporadically. In the registry there's an entry for OB but it's not installed?

I've just formatted and reinstalled and when I put back OD progs I didn't install Object Bar and I don't have Right Click installed either... - not doing it again - I use True Image.

Try using Ccleaner to clean up your registry?

Usually does a great job.

I use Ccleaner but never tried the registry cleaner - I'm cautious about fiddling with registry!

Well from my experience I have used Ccleaner to clean my registry for well over a year now and have never once had a problem with it. Also before it fixes any of the unneeded registry items it gives you the option to back up the registry.

Okay - I'll take the plunge as I have some 'missing shared DLL's from Net Framework?

I'm backed up with Acronis also!
