XP LOGON STILL SHOWS .. I wonder why ...
Logon screen still shows even tho' I am not using it . .

I wonder if there is a cure to my 'little' problem ...
When I first got OD I used Logons, as the computer was, at the time , shared ...
However , for the past coupla' years only I have been using it ... Therefore logons were not needed ..
I believe I disabled them ( so long ago , I cannot remember now, or even how .. ) ... and ever since then the logon screen still appeared but with the Logon text gone ... and this is the way it has been ever since ...
~ Now . I can say it is definitely not an issue .. I am used to it by now ..however it would be nice to be able to stop this happening , sort of like .. After the XP bootscreen has gone , my desktop is there ...
So , How do I do this without upsetting the system ?

Yep but then you actually, even for a non password protected account, have to click OK on the classic dialog to logon.

Right then ... I have turned the welcome screen off AND disabled the fast user switching ...and clicked 'apply options' ..
I will now try a restart ... see what happens .. brb!!

Type "control userpasswords2" in the run box (without the quotation marks)and press Enter.
Select the user you want to auto logon when Windows boots and uncheck User must enter a user name and password to use this computer. Click OK and type the current password for the user. Click OK when you’re done.
