CursorXP is not for XP!
Sunday, January 27, 2008 by TYCUS | Discussion: Skinning
Time ago, when i start doing my cursorxp skins i start to get some comments about a crash problems from other people, in fact, i was getting the same problem with my own skins. Several times i try to find a fix of this bug, i try to edit the PNG files with PSP, edit the .ini file but nothing that i do was helping to fix the problem.., then i try to ask to other skinners if they were getting the same issue, i even ask JJ Ying and my surprise was that he got the same crashing problems with one or two of his skins, he didn't find the fix like the others.
When i end up doing Oxide i deside to change my pc and build one by my own, for that reason i quite doing more skins(also becouse of my job...), a month later when my new pc was complete i deside to make a try with cursorxp, i download all my creations from here and at deviantart.com, my surprise was that i wasn't getting that crashing problems any more!
Right now i'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and i'm sure that the problem is not CursorXP or the skins that we do, it is the OS! Something in WindowsXP cant handle the animations or even the skin at all. Maybe i'm wrong.., maybe not.., but how many of you that are using any of the Windwos Vista vertions are still getting the crash problem with CursorXP?
This is only my two cents....

Same here Tycus, I never had a single issue on XP. I'd check for corruption within the application, backup your skins, and do an uninstall / reinstall.
Good luck my friend!
