Objectdock Crashes all the time

Wednesday, December 26, 2007 by neomop | Discussion: ObjectDock

When I start of ODP, it runs fine, but then it periodically stalls, and when I run my cursor over it, the whole program crashes and disappears. No warning or error pops up either. I then have to go and restart the program.

It's been pretty irritating because it has happened 4-5 times within this hour.

do you have any weather docks. this wsa happening to me. We tried the cache clearing & even rebuilt my docks - but no improvement
then deleted the weather docks and the problem has been gone now for TWO WEEKS
Before it was crashing several times a day - sometimes several times in a couple of hours
Stardock are releasing 1.9.5 so hopefully it fixes this problem

neomop as Natasha87 pointed out it could just be one docklet that is causing the problem. If you are talking the zoomer dock, have added docklets to it? If so take them off, then add them back one at a time and see if you can find the one that is causing the problem.

Not really sure if this is a problem, but it is a place to start.

I think I deleted the source of the problem. I had the Objectdock Tray docklet loaded because Objectdock wouldn't show the running Systray icons itself. Once I got rid of that docklet, everything started working fine then.

Still looking for an alternative to displaying my systray icons

Try using a second, shrunken dock. I keep on at the top of my screen for just systray.

The Plus version has systray support.
