Other buttons than LEFT or RIGHT support? also mousewheel support?
I can imagine it would be cool, when you move the mouse wheel the cursor changes into another animation (some arrows, or an actual mouse wheel with two moving arrows with alpha)
Talking about supporting other buttons, for example, one of the buttons in my mouse is configured to close any app, that's a good place to use that blue explosion animation, otherwise is too much cluttering to put it on the right or left button.
Another mouse button is configured to minimize apps, I think I can design some animation, I don't know a big red arrow moving towards the bottom, and fading out shortly, showing you've just minimized an app.
Another case, two other buttons are configured to go back/forward in webpages and windows, I can put a blue or red arrow pointing to the left or right and fading shortly, showing you've just moved back or forward.
that would be cool...
thanks!

Another cool idea could be to implement an alpha blending crossfade between cursors, I can imagine a really quick crossfade will look fantastic!!!

I'm assuming that means all current CXP Plus subscribers (purchased within the last year). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please....

Can you point me to an example?
As far as I know, if you want to do that in the actual cursor animations you'll need to include it as frames, and that means at some point you'll get some unwanted morph in the cursor if you wait enough.
Now, what I mean is a truly "intelligent" engine, where developer can put "morph from horizontal arrow to cursor", "morph from vetical resize arrow to cursor", "morph from cursor to help cursor" (and viceversa) "morph from cursor to busy cursor, and viceversa"...etc....so the developer can add as many morphing animations as he wants, to make it a true cool eye candy experience.
I think CursorFX has the potential, and is it's main purpose after all, I personally think it will be truly something new and cool to see.
Maybe you can do sort of that by using the effects section, but that leaves the actual cursor visible along with the effect right?
thanks.

Well man, ten dollars is little money...and development efforts cost money, or do you works for free?...It's fair considering you were an actual cursorXP user, I had to pay the full price for it.
Think of it as a support for new cool things in CursorFX.

neophil78: Why is charging an upgrade fee a joke?
We charge for upgrades between major releases of most of our apps. Many companies do the same thing. If I purchased Windows XP in 2005 I did not get a free upgrade to Windows Vista in 2007.

The thing is, the trail is always drawn using the samplerate of the monitor/mouse, so I get dots when I move quickly.
It could be very very very cool if we can use some sort of realtime trail render engine that makes fading lines as I move the cursor, pretty much as those Flash animations where you draw things using your mouse.
There is some game using this, can't remember which one, I guess it was world of warcraft, but I'm not sure.
Currently, the trail effects and the overall feature is almost useless for me. And considering we all have powerful video cards, it shoudln't be a problem generating small trail flare transitions in realtime.

Cool.
It would be useful to have a tab in the app (or at least a text file) that tells us what all of the hot key values are
I'm guessing that since the hot keys will eventually be customizable, that tab will also show the defaults.
