I *can* see the "other" windows cursors though (text bar, hyperlink hand, resize arrows), I jsut can't see the default pointer.

Where in SDC is CursorFX? ... not seeing it here.

did the same thing with cursorxp plus, but i didn't say anything, since it wasn't for vista

Press and hold the Windows key, press R and type the following into the Run dialog:
dxdiag
Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file in the email.

Not there, but CursorXP is ... and I've always had 'Show Pre-release versions' checked.
Tried 'Check application updates', refresh xml data and still not there.
SDC version is 2.49.510 build 162

Switched from US-1 to US-2 ... did the refresh, etc. ... still the same.
One note, which may or may not be pertinent. I have CursorXP installed (not the paid version), but SDC shows it is not installed, despite the fact that I clicked the 'Install' button in SDC back when I installed it originally.
However, rather than the usual SDC type install from within SDC, it took me to Download.com where I downloaded and ran the CursorXP installer.
CursorFX was also installed using an installer (from Brad's link anouncing CursorFX) rather than from within SDC.
