A mastercard moment..........Kitty buys Vista home premium on ebay!!

may you all crack a grin outa my crazy experiences..........

Friday, November 30, 2007 by Vampothika | Discussion: Community

And damn right I did!  I decided to sum it all up in a kind of a strange mastercard scenario......

Buying a couple of cokes in the morning so I dont have to leave the house again for the day : $6.00

Ringing the only 3 'computer guy' adverts in the paper to inquire about a vista upgrade : $ 2.00

Buying Vista home premium on ebay : $160 (postage included)

Realizing that upgrading to vista wont make my brain any less kooky: priceless.

I real hard pressed to bring myself to drink it, cos tap water around here tastes bloody awful, like it's full of chemicals...

Can you get a PUR water filter that hooks up at you tap in Oz? It will get rid of 99% of the chemicals that cause the nasty taste and smell. Well worth the $35.00 for the one I bought. The water comes out cleaner than that bottled water they sell in the stores.

Yeah, I thought for years they'd been putting fluoride in the water... then I'm informed it's chlorine... cos of wot the fish do in it.

Spent a bit of time up on Mt Tambourine a while back, and the spring water up there is amazingly fresh, clean and pure enough to drink from the stream... beeeeaUtiful.

Will have to look into that... one that hooks into the tap. Had a water filter once (think my ex-wife took it) that had an upper and lower tank... the tap water filtered through to the lower tank which had a convenient tap... it fitted nicely in the fridge so there was always cold water on tap. Might even get another one of those, yet.

Hmmm, I can see it now... Fuzzy going across kitty's knee and getting six of the best for mentioning Pe... yeah, that other cola.

Tell ya what, Fuzzy, me thinks you're gonna regret offering to bring the paddle... with all the pent up anger and aggression I see in kitty's art at times, it's gonna hurt something awful. Hope you got one of them circular whoopee cushions with the middle missing... would make sitting more a whole lot more comfortable.

@ vStyler #28.... Hehe, there's been many a time I was tempted to put words in other forum patrons mouths... only refrained for fear of a severe reprimand/rap across the knuckles.

Hmmm, offspring, eh!!! Still regretting them 10 years after they left home: "Daaaa-aad, can I borrow 50 bucks?"

Or worse still: "Daaa-aaad, I'm in jail, can you come bail me out... it's only $10,000!"

Nah, I've been blessed with my kids... that's an ordeal they'd never put me through... tho my step-daughter was a bit wayward for a while... however, I put that down to a genetic defect on her father's side.

I have a great relationship with them all, the grandkids, too... beats a Mastercard moment every time

Used to live in North Carolina, up in the mountains. Closes town was about 30 miles from my house. Closest neighbor was literally across a valley on another mountain (I loved being able to say that...). Water came from a well that tapped an underground spring. Best water I ever tasted. Far better than that bottled crap (Evian, etc...)......

A lot of that bottled water truly isn't what the label says, spring water, etc... I know somebody who works at a bottled 'spring water' plant... and his primary job, ensuring the tap water has been filtered at least 3 times prior to mineral salt additives (sometimes fruit juices) and bottling.

I dunno, anytime someone mentions Britney...well, um, Spears springs to mind and I start thinking all things feral. Hope they don't call it Britney Springs cos she swam in 'em once... like yuk, you'd never wanna let that water ever pass yer lips agin.

Yeah, I spent some time up around the Cairns hinterland and Port Douglas, etc...'tis certainly beautiful country orright... and water you can drink right out the stream. Like, thanks Erk, I needed to be irked... er, reminded of how clean and wonderful it is up your way. These days I'm living right beside the Brisbane River at Goodna... and while some may say it's the posh part of the suburb, I take one look at the river and think: "Gawd, it's that flamin' dirty I could near walk across it."

True, some days you'd swear it runs upside down...with the mud on top....heaven forbid what it must've been like before the 5% improvement in water quality.

lol, I believe it was named back in the gold rush ages (after all this area is the home of the 'original' 49ers). Don't think she was alive around then

There's nothing like good, clean well water. Our well was fed by a natrual spring and our neighbors down the road hit an artisian aquifer when they dug. They ended up founding Dudley Water and supplied fresh water to all those around that had their wells get low, fill pools etc. $$$

No... sadly, we have her living in our era. SoftPedia has a news section that has a new scandal/shocking revelation on her every second day... the latest shows her in the most disgusting light (flashing bits that should never see the light of day), and if I were a judge, I'd not even consider her for visitation rights, much less as a custodial parent to those poor kids of hers.

Sad really, how fame and fortune can bork the brains of some... and oh how glad I am that I can't sing to save my life.
