WindowBlinds Configuration Black Background
something happend to our Vista laptop
Monday, November 26, 2007 by deleyd | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I purchased WindowBlinds a few weeks ago for our Vista laptop and installed the Sexy theme. Then something happened to our Vista laptop, the desktop wallpaper went black, system restore didn't fix it, so we manually reset things, had to switch from Classic to Vista view (somehow it got switched to Classic, like old Windows 2000 look), and set the wallpaper. But now when we run WindowBlinds we get this Configuration with black background. Words are there in the black if you move the mouse around.
So,... what do we do now?

you can also try:
open note pad full screen, then call up WB config
once you click the system info tab, if it goes black or the text overwrites, minimize wb config then restore it

Minimizing WB Config does NOT solve the problem.
Any other ideas?

did someone ever get a fix for this? I just upgraded from WB5 to WB6 and have encountered this issue. This is the only webpage I can find with the issue

try opening note pad maxed
then open WB configuration - if it's readable, click the system info tab - then click the copy text button
paste that info here

I'm running Windows XP SP3. video drivers are up to date.
Just a btw, I have put in a support query and waiting for a response there but was hoping this was a known small problem and there was a known solution.

don't recall seeing a reason/solution posted.
had this issue a while back - (how I figured out NotePad to view it)
was getting it off and on & figured out it was happening when I had ObjectDock running for a while, so I figured it was a graphics thing
don't have the issue anymore, can't recall if it disappeared after a WB update, driver update or getting rid of lots and lots of pics off my desktop

Stardock support came up with a solution which is simple when I think about it. I uninstalled it and then reintalled it with antivirus off. Hopefully if anyone has this problem in the future this solution will help them.
Thanks to Stardock Support for their help.
