Those of you who are new might not be aware of a unique WC holiday: Troll Thumping Day!
Is anyone interested in expanding the work Po' Smedley has done into a full Suite?

Yeah, I offered... cos all of 10 seconds is all the skinning experience I have, and LogonstudioVista is one proggie I was able to master.

If there is no further input, These are the panels I'm going ahead with. I wonder if I should change the text on the stump panel to the same as the others?
I think (- and its only 'ickle me - ! ) that would be a cool thing .. and it makes for uniformity too .. er ... yes !! hehe ( Fo'Realizzle !! )

I do have a question about the glare on the shield . . . should the panel have one too? And yes, I realize I should have noticed this earlier.

Ok yet another progress report ... This time its the EMERALD FLAME SIDEBAR :
Thanks due to PO' for getting his bits and pieces to me ..
I have used the start panel pole png for the OPEN PANEL captions ,and a snatch of the frame of the matching logon for the CLOSED PANEL captions .. I have also done a border with the same ...
The clocks have been 'magic pinked' (DS does not support transparency yet ..) so that they also show the new background that Po' sent , This , of course , has given the Sidebar a bit of 'identity' now .. anyway ... here you go , this is what I got so far ..

Oh shizzle !! Nearly forgot: 2 of 3 , I am very interested in your 'wax seal '...
Pixel size 149 x 123 pixels in png format would be great ... would you mind emailing it to me ..I think it would make an interesting clockface and also give the DS user more choice ..

On later versions of the wallpaper, I have also rotated the seal 25 degrees cw to give it a more realistic look.
I tried out the glare on the panels way back, and it never looked right(at least I couldn't make it nice). I decided that the glare on the shields was there to give them a rounded look. Doesn't work on the flat panels.

I kinda agree with Po on this. The emerald background makes the bars blend in too much. I did also try a solid emerald panel for the logon once and was never happy with the result.
Looks nice with the gold trim on the bars
On a side note: Hey, what's everyone else doing? Not slacking I hope

I Kinda agree with both of you ..hehe .. Right .. I have taken out the emerald background and gone back to the black one ... And I have to admit , with the new captions , it looks a LOT sharper too with more definition ...

One quick question: on the horizontal bars, is it one image that repeats itself or separate elements? If they are separate images, it might be nice to vary them (use different cutout sections). I don't know how sidebars are setup, so if it aint possible, just ignore me!

I like it 'better' and better than the black..but it just seems to be missing something..something little...I thought the gold would do it.

OH! Please don't shoot me!~ Gold buttons! Could you use the systemtray or plain start button for the buttons/bars? With black text or some brown set on Color Burn?

On DS we call the horizontal bars Captions ... they are made up using png and jpeg images, Usually
they are all pretty well the same size ..
However DS has the ability to change pics (Captions etc;) on hover /pressed/normal states
....
This allows DS Skinners to 'add' a little movement to the Sidebar , as all the panels can be open/closed when ever you want ... Its a really great little app ,and a LOT more friendlier to use then the Vista one ~ For me anyway .. I would be lost without it now ...
So , Just for you , a mini screeny showing a mouse hover over a panel ... ( look for my santa cursor..) !! As you can see , the hover now shows the Caption Hover Detail ... with me so far ..?
