Music Docklets

I've seen several docklets that turn the iTunes icon into album art, but is this possible for other players. For example, I converted from iTunes to MediaMonkey and now I use the new Zune client, which is honestly one of the slickest pieces of software I've ever used. Would there be a way to make a docklet like this for multiple media players, not just iTunes. Also, I have a Sidebar gadget called Now Playing which displayed album art for multiple media players, and anything that was supported by Audio Scrobbler.
