I'm having similar problems. I have tried three different versions of the BootSkin installer on two different computers and my skin still doesn't show up.
I followed the directions at WWW Link with no luck.
I have zipped my attempt at a boot screen to Mini.zip
I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you,
John

If your color palattes for wallpaper and progress bar aren't the same, your bootskin will not work properly.... could be your problem

Not completely, screen image size as states in tut is 640x480, it must be this size, the image you have used is 565x315, progress bar size is 22x9, you have it at 186x13.

Now my skin shows in the list of choices. When I run that skin, it looks REALLY bad. Black and gray with no detail. I have the files at Mini2.zip
Thank you for the help.
