Please use add remove programs to uninstall WB (all versions that you can find).  Reboot, then reinstall 6.

When you run it, are you getting the trial screen?  If so, it is it referring to version 6 like it should?

I've already uninstalled it before installing wb6 and i am getting the trial screen and the version is 6.0 , the only problem that after reboot it goes back to classic , i am thinking to use hibernate instead of Turn Off if there's no solution

Something may be blocking WB on startup. Do you have any antispyware apps running at startup?

Are you running on Windows XP or Vista?

If you are running on Vista, can you check to make sure the WindowBlinds service is running?  Type net start from the command line and see if "Stardock WindowBlinds" is in the list.

If it is not, you may need to reinstall the service manually.

You state your running a Trial version of WB, your trial period may have run out.
Do you have a Stardock account? Have you purchased the full version? I recommend doing so.

You are correct, you would not see the service running on Windows XP because only Vista requires the service.

I would try uninstalling WindowBlinds shareware version.  Rebooting.  The reinstall.  There could be an issue with your install files / registry settings.

well i uninstalled and reinstalled it again with no success , i tried to re download the file with no success , and i tried to shutdown all the programs and kaspersky and reinstall it also with no success , well i know that WBSrv.dll is loaded so i guess is that what windowblinds needs, so is there is any other files that windowblinds requires it to be loaded , or is there is a list of programs that block windowblinds which i can check

thanks in advance

Reinstalling won't reset the clock on the trial.  Did you have a 5.x build installed?  Upgrading won't reset the clock either.

Purchasing the full version or uninstalling the shareware and going back to Luna may be your only choices.

The 6.0 trial has a whole new 30 day trial period so it should not have expired yet.

I have heard some versions of Panda AV can cause WB to not apply at bootup, but a reapply would fix that.

Try applying classic from wbconfig and then applying a theme.  Does that do anything?

Do you get the screen fade & blur when trying to apply?

i don't care about the trial because i was going to buy the enhanced from the moment i
applied diamond theme, but when i had this problem i feared from having this problem
with the enhanced too ,so i am not going to buy it until i find a solution for this
first , when i reboot it goes back to classic then i apply windows xp style and reapply
any theme and i get the screen fade & blur and then goes to clssic but when i am apply
classic and reapply any theme i don't see the fade screen ,i don't understand why it
doesn't apply theme after reboot but before it load themes correctly ,also i have no
wb6 tray icon , if this helps i am using laptop

Any suggestions

Thanks in advance
