Will WB and Yahoo music ever play nice???

Monday, September 17, 2007 by MSethWeisberg | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I know that yahoo music has a problem and crashes with wblind.dll. I thought that with version 6 of wb and the newest jukebox of yahoo, maybe just maybe they might play nice with each other. But no, wb still crashes what probably is the best alternative to itunes. Can anyone who codes wb please get it right and get yahoo music to play nice. It can't be that hard to get wblind.dll to properly exlude the music engine from being skinned and not have it crash.

you might also need to *ask* yahoo to quit changing things around all the time so WB can keep it properly excluded... unless you can convince yahoo to let WB skin it

OK, now, realy there is a way better alternative which is Rhapsody, in fact, YMJB is selling its business already in favour of the Real alternative (why would it be?... I have an answer, Yahoo! took MusicMatch Jukebox and made a terrible, horrible, crappy, non-working, lousy programing that survived only by keeping MMJB accounts and praying not to loose business)

Now, as I am one of the "poor abused" guys that inherited the ugly thing, I really need to know how can I stop WB of skinning "The Thing", evidently the guys at Yahoo! are having already a hard time making their thing work semi-decently and so, asking them to not to change things is but impossible for them to understand how to either, let WB skin their thing or stop making unpredictable changes, my questio is for the higher people:

I already added the executable files to the Not skinning option (Add Per Application) however it still crashes, even on the program opening, please!!! any help??? I know that unloading WB will help, but I am a huge fan of WB and not so nice with YMJB so, I'd rather understand how to workaround the jukebox and not to unload one of my favourite applications

Oh! BTW it is WinVista Home Premium / WB 6 on an AMD64x2 Processor w/nVidia GeForce & 2Gb RAM and the infamous YMJB

Make sure you are excluding ALL the YMJB apps . . . some are called indirectly.
