Question For Moderator

Missing Upload

I've had problems uploading to the site for a few weeks now, but as luck would have it, today the upload went without a hitch. The progress bar showed a steady upload and the end result was " upload complete " I got the final screen that says " Because of your user status your upload will appear in one minute "

Its been 40 minutes +
I've exited site and deleted all cookies and temp files.
The upload is nowhere to be found. Its not even showing in my own personal Gallery.
I've never had an upload once completed that didn't show up in the usual 1 minute waiting period. So I'm not sure what to do. Did it not really go through ? Is it just stuck in upload limbo?

I don't want to re-upload the Widget Pack and complicate things further.

Could someone please check and let me know what to do.

Same upl problems for me. I just upl a file call W3 Docks in OD category : The file is accepted, but no preview available
I tried to resize the jpg because I was afraid it was too big (1920x1200). I deleted the previous and re-upl a new one in 1280x800.

---------> idem !
So, same question for mods...

well..guess we just wait till someone fixes it. But at least its not just me this time

There's a large number of uploads in moderation which are broken. Looks like a wait for Stardock to fix it unfortunately

Has this issue been resolved ?

I've deleted my file and preview for the 3rd time and I don't want to upload it again if there is still a problem with uploads being in Processing limbo.

Well only problem is ....

I uploaded my file for the 4th time with a renamed file and renamed preview so it wouldnt conflict with any of the previous uploads.

So it should of gone right through due to journeyman status. But, final screen said :

Your DesktopX Widgets skin is being processed.
Please allow approximately 5 days for it to show up, as all updated entries are reviewed before being publically available.

So its not really ' fixed' the way it should be.
This should of gone right up as a new upload if it was working correctly.

Fairyy~,

The upload process uses your Skin Name to determine if it is an update or not.  So if you want to upload the same files, but not have it be considered an update, you need to change the Skin Name, not the actual file names.  The file names can stay the same.

I just relised this Dean before I read this and had already deleted the file again.
I was changing the file name and preview name but not the actual name of the widget itself.
I have rewritten all again. Will go for a fifth try.

Thats all I needed to do was change the skin name and upload went right to gallery this time.

Fianlly! I have been up for 48 hours waiting to add the link to my skin. Nows I's can sleep?
