We've all done it........ well, if you are a skinner you've done it. You design a skin, spend ages getting to a point where it's almost finished, and then you think..... O.K. stop fooling yourself, this is a piece of C**P!! And shortly afterwards you consign it to the depths of your hard drive, never to be seen again.
Well here's a chance to show those mistakes, prove that you are human and maybe give hope to the newer skinners....hehehe.
I'm prepared to go first, and show you one of MY rejects. I made this skin about 4 years ago, I thought it was cool for a few weeks, with it's "innovative" titlebar buttons that used the ATI logo. Fortunately, I realised this was never going to run, especially with that "out there" titlebar!
O.K....... No laughing.
And..... we want to see YOUR rejects, so get posting and don't leave me out here all alone!!!

Am I the only one that noticed BoXXi had a Nvidia video card in his system while creating an ATI skin?

Well now that you mention it....er... NO!!! Thing is (and I am being picky
), how 'd ya know that BoXXi didn't deliberately plant than Nvidia icon in the sys tray to see if people would start gossiping and start another conspiracy theory??? Huh??

Well...I don't know if he doctored the shot or if in fact the software was installed and running, but I do know the software won't load without the card being installed.

Ah, but who's to say the software was actually loaded, with BoXXi's mischievous but ingenious mind, the sys tray icon may very well have been an ATI one with an Nvidia overcoat.
Or than again, he may just have cut, copied and pasted somebody else's taskbar/sys tray on the SS.

hahaha..... when I first made that skin I had an ATI card, which I swapped for a Matrox Millenium, and then I got a new system which had an Nvidia card. That skin has been sitting there for years!! Well spotted though.

I wouldn't crow about it too loud if I were you...AMD/ATI, as they're known these days - shoot, you can almost get dammit out of that - might take exception to your dumping their product all those years ago and not commission you to do a suite of skins to promote the company....
Nah, they won't bother...they'd be concerned about not getting it this millenium, being your last ATI skin got tossed in the bottom drawer and never saw the light of day for over a decade.

Yeah, I remember that one....wasn't a happy camper at the time, my resolution wouldn't go that high and allow me to read anything on the old 15" monitor. Downloaded it now tho... got me a 19" LCD that displays great at 1280 x 1024, so I'll take it for a spin later and hand down a verdict after I've copped a few zzzzzz's.
