The Forgotten Libraries
What the heck is a "RightClick" skin ?
Friday, August 24, 2007 by Fairyy~ | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
On Gallery page if you scroll down
to " Applications "
You have Windowblinds
ObjectBar2
Object Dock
Rainlendar
Sysmetrix
Windows Media Player
Winamp
Then you go on to Gadgets and widgets, logons and bootskins etc.
Why isn't the " RightClick " program listed under available applications ?
It seems that Library gets very little attention while its one of the best programs Stardock has but gets very little exposure. People that use the RightClick program will vouch that they cant ' get around ' without it.
RightClick is a program that has a 30 free trial and is for sale by Stardock.
The Objectbar2 library has a total of 8 skins in the library since October 2006 to August 2007
In ten months only 8 skins available for objectbar2....and is listed second in the applications.
RightClick has 124 skins available in just about the same time span but isn't even listed in the available Applications..
" RightClick " is part of the Object Desktop Package but sells for only $9.95 as a stand alone program...ObjectBar2 sells for $19.95.
Just thought I'd mention this...seems a shame that a good program gets very little exposure while other " items " get more than their fair share.

Well there is only so much 'space' on a page. Don't know if it would require deleting one or the other

I usually have OB2 use whatever WB skin I have applied . . . I can't imagine why to apply anything else.
Interestingly enough . . the OB2 Gallery is filled with full bars, not skins.
I also use the Navbar to get around the different galleries. I never noticed that RC was missing from the list of apps. Interesting.

)I would like to see more OB2 skins/themes (especially cause i'm tired to see an half (4 skins) of this gallery with the same crappy name
) come on skinners
but i understand your point Fairyy~

I think a choice has to be made when they build the gallery page and like Zubaz said RC and OB are similar.
But RC it's just skins and OB skins and contents maybe it's more the reason than the prize of the softwares.

I do to..I check all the galleries I like or use.

I understand that Ob2 is probably used by lots of people. Maybe just no one cares to make any. Sometimes with RightClick the default RC that the blind skins is rather simple. So I prefer a little more ornate skin. Which isn't always easy with RC not supporting pngs
( hopefully to change in future version )
I'm just thinking its an oversight that RightClick is left out - to those that use it and/or skin it , its a necessary tool for the day. I see my RC more than anything else in a day. This was not to put down OB2....maybe oB2 needs a little fanfare too

I didn't mean to disparage RC in any way either .. you all do some amazing work with it. I only wish I had the talent you all have.

You didnt at all...we all have out favourite Programs. Theres only a few of us that skin RC but a lot do use the program .....
I was just curious if it was an oversight that its left off the gallery page as a Stardock application. Hopefully they can squeeze it in if they can get a chance

I agree with you that it is interesting that Right Click is not listed. Here's something else interesting, it would seem no one up till now noticed that it wasn't listed.
I do kind of think though that this probably falls under the category of "Oops" rather than a deliberate omission.
