Make another clear partition, fresh install vista.
After Vista install, Vista made for you bootmanager.Than before boot, you select vista or xp
Dual boot good . Easy copy files xp to vista, or back, or whatever you want.
If you come any problem with vista, just reboot, boot old xp.

it was quite simple.., but too long to explain, dont worry all what i do was correct! no need of cracks, serials or cheats(mmh, it sounds like a game), the trick was in front of me all the time, in the same disk. i loose XP and i wont get it back, EVER! but i dont realy care, couse it was part of my plan to delet it at the end, all my files, skins and all that stuff were safe in the new SATA HD that i buy a little time ago., so right now the only problem is that it seems that my 7.1 sound card is not working, i need to do a big search on the net to find the driver for Vista if this one exist
.., in other hand, i need to get a new video card, or well, i already ask for one, the RADEON X1650pro, my old one was the RADEON 9550, it works fine with the driver update, but when i try Halo 2 it makes the game look like sh#$#@t! so now i need to wait 6 days to get it into my hands
i have to say that i was lucky at all, btw....., i'm still waiting the call of Microsoft's tech support

Only way , to use your soundcard digital output( out to external decoder or receiver).
You will need Ac3 filter for this.
