Mouse cursor goes under buttons

I have Window Blinds 5 and Object Desktop with Cursor XP. I have noticed problems with my mouse cursor sometimes appearing to be underneath the minimize, maximize and close buttons. It's like something has made the mouse NOT "Always on Top". When this happens, clicking on the buttons still works, it's just harder to find the "sweet spot" because you can't always see the tip of the pointer on its target. If I change the cursor from one scheme to another it doesn't make any difference. Has anyone had this happen, and how do you keep the cursor "Always on Top"? A reboot usually fixes it for a while.
Also, sometimes the cursor floats randomly on the desktop, and is very difficult to control. This is a desktop system using a logitech cordless MX Laser 1000 mouse with the diNovo keyboard and Media Pad. When this happens, if I chanage the cursor to another theme the problem goes away for a few minutes, but reappears later. I suspect 2 drivers fighting for control of the mouse/cursor and I've noticed in Device Manager it shows 2 mice, one that says "HID compliant mouse", and another that says "Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse". IF I delete the "generic" mouse, it reappears on subsequent reboots. Is having 2 mice normal? If I delete the Logitech mouse, I have no mouse at all--so that's not an option.

No solution, but I have had this problem for quite a while. Mostly this happens when I hold my mouse over a widget. I guess reboot is only solution until Microsoft addresses this problem.

Try this
Go to start Menu
Click on RUN
type in MSNCONFIG click OK (a new window will pop up)
on the tabs at the top, click on STARTUP
in the List look for "HID compliant mouse" (Note it may not say "HID compliant mouse" )
and then un-check it this will stop it from loading at start up..
IF you have a program called MSCOMFIG clean-up use it, If not it is a good one to have
and with out it the programs that you stop from starting up on start up can come back some times.

NOTE; before doing any thing in the SERVICES do a System restore Point.
how to get to System restore to make a restore Point
Click on the Start menu then Click on ALL PROGRAMS
look for Accessories ( hover over it and it will open or just click on it)
then look for System Tools then click on System Restore (new window will open)
then Click on CREATE A RESTORE POINT then just follow instructions..
HOPE this HELPS you out...

This is a known Windows issue which Microsoft has no plans to fix. I have seen a few different things that people say nay clear it up, I just reboot when this happens.
Have you tried just disabling the generic driver instead of uninstalling/deleting it.
