Today, a bit of humor to start things off. Most of the folks here are of a technical mindset. We're good with computers, many of us making our living off of them. Of course, with that knowledge comes a price. At one point in an IT career, you will likely have spent some time working tech support, answering calls and emails from people who are still struggling with the concept of electricity and indoor plumbing. If you managed to skip this oh-so-wonderful wrung in the career ladder, chances are you've spent more than your fair share of time helping Aunt Tilly get online so she can email photos of her kids to everyone she knows.
For everyone who's ever been in the above situations, I'd like to point you to a blog entitled "20 Things I Leared From Tech Support" where the author, kludge, lists out 20 morsels of wisdom he's acquired from time behind the help desk.
Of the 20, my favorite is "Users can smell fear. Once you've lost control, all is lost."
