Friday, August 3, 2007 by Alexandra | Discussion: WinCustomize News

Stardock is pleased to officially announce that the beta of WindowBlinds 6 is now available for users of Object Desktop.  WindowBlinds 6 represents a whole new generation of Windows skinning with advanced new features such as animation overlays, blur glass effects on both Windows Vista and Windows XP, user created sub-styles, full font control, explorer backgrounds, complete Windows Vista skinning, faster performance, and much more!

The final WindowBlinds 6 will include 5 brand-new skins created by Stardock Design (a team up of many of the top skinners of all time including the Pixtudio team and Skinplant teams combined) to help demonstrate some of the new skins.

More features and information will be released as the beta moves forward.

If you don’t have Object Desktop, visit www.objectdesktop.com to get it.

I can't access it yet cause i only have the standalone version...

Why is StardockCentral *offering the Update for those without Object Desktop?? I keep getting a prompt to update..

and YEah I am very eagerly awaiting WB 6..

Runs perfectly on here. So far, the Diamond skin is awesome. The blurring effect is great and works perfectly with video overlays (thru MPC). I'm now anxious to see how the other skins work with this new effect. No bugs to report for now.

I love the leo skin. So incredibly smooth... its a serious step up here engine-wise, you can tell!

I renewed my OD subs as it said we get a special free extra skin- I hope that is still the case!!!

Stardock Central's refresh today should stop it from prompting customers with only WB5 installed to upgrade while we're doing the betas with OD customers.

I love it!

I was pleasantly surprised with the animations in Molten, but I ended up settling with Leo at about half transparency.
