Monday, July 30, 2007 by Vampothika | Discussion: Skinning
HI guys, havent posted here asking for help for ages! (must be getting good huh? *wink wink, nudge, nudge*.....)
okay, i want my new start button to be round and be larger than the taskbar (so i have to do an overlay image for the startbutton..this i know...) im currently studying quentins skin, olphi, with his round start button....thats the style i want. BUT i cant see where he has put the overlay image for the startbutton??
So where does it go?.....
if anyone can help, that would be grand.........

Yep, and it will work: the only drawback of this method is that for those like myself that have a tabbed dock, docked on windows taskbar, when closed the tabs will be at the trans edge and not on taskbar thus leaving a gap. Also a maxed window will stop at the trans again leaving a gap. IMO/personal taste, not a good look.
On some skins even just having a trans sizing bar that is a few pixels high leaves enough of a gap to make dock just not look right when closed.

I think that is my problem, i tried to edit a theme with a overlapping start button and after i edit anything and save the lose the top of the orb. I noticed that the top is a piece in the taskbar that is transparent. Is this what i need to do or am i missing something else? thanks
