I didn't install it and it says 5.51 anyway............

Please do NOT download that. It is not correct and may cause problems if you install it to your system right at this moment.
There will be big announcements when WB6 is actually available for beta.

Well, I did NOT install it, yet it shows as being installed today!

Can/should I uninstall it?

Sorry. Just noticed the "it will fix itself shortly" comment. Tried tools > check for application updates. No change.

Found the solution: In SCD, Tools > Settings > Internet. Then, refresh XML Data.

Please know that your Object Desktop subscription has been extended to August 31, 2008.
You will have access to the beta of WindowBlinds 6 (currently versioned at 5.9 in Stardock Central.
Then I tried it did not even update.

If your subscription to Object Desktop is active then you will get all updates until your subscription expires.
The WindowBlinds 6 beta is not available yet, it is project for next week.
WindowBlinds 5.5 is compatible with Vista.
