comunicators

i have problem with comunicators which are usually placed in system tray. If progran icon is placed in dock there is no alerts when massage comes there is no alerts at all. i have to open comuniacator every minute to check if there are any massages. Do you know any solution for such situation ? Does objectdock support any comunicator ? I think that it should be considered when doing next version of the program.
