Who screens the submissions to the gallerys?

Monday, April 30, 2007 by Velvetelle | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I find it amazing how when i submit something to the gallery it is put up so fast,   now don't get me wrong, i am NOT complaining, i am just curious as to who actually looks at the submissions and allows them to go up on the site? This is just one of those stupid questions i tend to ask, i wanna know the nitty gritty and the inside out of everything.

Also, whats the contact details for the WC site, i cant find them anywhere, unless i am looking in the wrong spot...

It depends on what your uploading as to who moderates it.  Look on the home page, and click on the about on the left.  Hope thats what ya mean.

I can for sure that it wasn't me.
I never venture into the dark realm of logons...

(I haven't even got LogonStudio installed)

Erk.

There's a whole bunch of folks working behind the scenes ...eyes propped open with matchsticks and chained to their chairs ...did I say chairs? ...I mean concrete bollards ...intraveinously hooked up to a coffee machine, electrodes connected to places you don't wanna know ....so that they get zapped if they miss anything, an....

....oh, ...wait

Damn, I'am slow this morning.  Didn't really look at who posted this thread.  I'am the one that does logons for the most part.  Guess I'd better watch more closely.

This thread may set a sort of record for moderator to user response ratio

The volunteer (yes, shock of shocks, these folks do this without financial compensation!) team here does an outstanding job of keeping on top of the submission queues and handling user concerns and questions.  We've also added three new moderators in the last few weeks, making things move even quicker than they did before.

And we don't poke them with sticks... too much.

I have to say, it's nice to see someone post a thread thanking the team for the great work they do!  Too often people only post when they're upset, and so rarely when they're happy.  The moderator team has been doing this for years now, and I don't think they're thanked nearly often enough.

As a kid my mother used to say that I wasn't happy unless I was miserable....so I guess that's why I never write in here to complain....seems I'm still happy even when I'm miserable/upset.

As for the mods who volunteer their time here, you all do a terrific job and thank you.
