got a link to a skin page of a skin not working?

no uis in file usually means:

either the download corrupted or
it's really a zip file with a wba and extras inside

When I downloaded the skin, it takes the ending .wba!

Not-working skins are for example: Nr. 1 Nr. 2

No-one else is having this problem so it must be a local issue. Please post the system information from WindowBlinds configuration here.

SnoggCLP: When  you download the skin, are you actually saving it on your system, or is it just opening? I would suggest right clicking the download link, clicking "Save target as..." and then attempting to download to your desktop. Once it's there, try loading it up and it should work.

The only cause for this problem that I've come across so far is when the internet browser saves it locally, then WindowBlinds is notified of a new file and tries parsing it, but at this point, the temp file has already been deleted by the internet browser. Saving the file rather than just opening it should get the skin(s) loaded to your system successfully.

Please keep us informed to the status of your situation.

I use Firefox and when I get a skin from WC Firefox will ask me what to do with it. I indicate to Open with WindowBlinds (default). At this point the skin is installed. This is on XP. There are times when I get a skin fro DeviantArt and it is in WRAR. I'll save it to a Customize folder I've created in My Documents. I open the WRAR and extract the WB file. Once I do that then I click the WB file and it's installed. I've rarely had and trouble. Either your computer is not right or you are doing something. Especially the two skins you gave as an example. Click on DOWNLOAD - Tell Firefox to Open with WindowBlinds (default) I just tried it with 5imple and it worked. I canceled because it's already on my machine. If this doesn't work than there is something funny going on.

Sometimes users will not show a proper status if their accounts use different e-mails, and they haven't cross-referenced their accounts.

There's your problem. You'll need to replace the system files which were changed by the installation

So you went from XP to Vista? How did you do this? Sounds to me that your original problem was that you got your computer messed up. Style XP than WB. Willy Nilly. It's hard to follow logically what you are doing. You'll end up having to reformat the whole thing. That's why I wanted to know about what you meant by "i installed the vista today." From scratch as an upgrade from XP?
