Community replies needed
Too many questions
Saturday, April 21, 2007 by Noiram | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Just looking for some info on a few things that I have been digging through WC for and don't know exactly where to look to find it. I'm sure any replies will also help other users as well (if they find this post). I'll try to keep my questions numbered so you can refer to which question your answering. If you know where I should be looking, please point me to that direction but direct answers would be very appreciated, that is why I'm asking the community after all. I'm using a Gateway laptop, widescreen 1280x800 res. Windows XP SP2. My imaging software is Photoshop. (#1)-How do you create links to stuff here at WC? (#2)-Do I have to make my own links from wallpapers or logons to other things that match. (#3)-Referals & Points, what are points used for? (#4)-I know how to take screenshots but it doesn't work on a bootscreen, what do I need to do to get a screenshot of the bootscreen in progress. Love to hear from all. This place ROCKS

if you're referring to putting links to things in an item description you upload:
click the 'insert web link' icon and paste the address in - after clicking okay change the ']' WWW Link '[' part to what you want it to say. using the insert icon messes up with multiple links, so if you want more than 1 inserted try using:
* a href="http-adress-here" * name-of-link * /a * == changing the '*' to '<' & '>' with no spaces except between 'a href'
unless you can talk someone into doing it for you (and yes, links to matching items is always nice)
a launching point for posts of moaning, whining and bitching

The upside down cross makes them go away. I just tried the full screen preview and then did a reboot on a new skin I did ( gotta say both looked the same ) but making 1024x768 walls and 640x480 boots, viewing on 1280x800 kinda makes them all look fuzzy. The screenshot however does turn out better if you just disable the crosshairs for progress bar and crop that part of the pic. Thats awesome I.R Brainiac, Thanks

Going to go and give it a whirl, I know as in all things I do, after a couple of times it will be second nature.
