Why do we have to cater to the lowest common denominator?

I understand that theres gotta be dreams for the massess, but how come there cant be higher end dreams? Not all of us are stuck using low end computers. How come there cant be some dreams for us that have up to date computers?

I have to say I agree 100% with all the recent posts in Dragoro's defense. In fact that's the stand I took from the beginning by simply asking him to clarify. The post I made about beggars cant be choosers was just there to make a point, and wasn't really aimed or directed at Dragoro specifically - sorry if that got misinterpreted that way

Anyways it makes me smile to know that we have such a mature audience in this forum. Normally from my experiences I would have expected a lot more fighting and immature, pointless arguing. It seems I was wholly mistaken! I was actually surprised and very glad to read some of the responses on this forum, and I wont make the mistake of underestimating your maturity again(I've seen it so much I somewhat subconsciously do whenever I communicate online... I guess immature kids have scarred me lol)

Anyways im done ranting. I love you guys

all I can say is you have a "high end" pc and not something low end (I don't have a high end pc but my pc doesn't have a chain attached to it so that it can double as a boat anchor either), start creating & uploading high end content to the site.

I firmly believe that what we've seen so far by way of .dreams ...is just the tip of the iceberg.


Correction..The iceberg can be seen but we are still a few miles from even getting to the tip.

I doesn't cater to anyone when skinning. I just make what I think is cool and upload it.

There are quite a few 1080P wallpapers.

However, next week you'll get your wish as dynamic dreams start to be made public which run natively at the resolution of your display (i.e. 1200p or higher for instance).  So the better your machine, the fancier it'll look.

You're kidding me, we're getting dynamic dreams next week? Heck yeash, finally, as if they weren't already secretly (and quite vocally) amazed,this will show all those "Vista Sucks" (can't handle that Microsoft might have actually done a few things right) people out there that Vista truly is blowing away Mac nowdays.
I cannot wait for the dynamic dreams.

I know it sucks to not have a high end computer as some people do, but what the hell do you think you have to by a whole new machine. take your tax return and go by a new video card and processor. if you say that they are to expensive, then you might want to look a little harder on the internet for some better deals. they are out there waiting for you to buy them along with vista ultimate....now lets bring on the dreams of all shapes and sizes and of course kick ass quality and res so every one can say i have a dream..my dream is for the best and highest res dream there is...for you slower and not so qualifed computers your dreams may be alittle or alot lower........

Right now- we in the "masses" are still able to enjoy what we can afford and apply-- and are grateful to Wincustomize for providing that outlet for us.

Since Mr. Dragaro has an extreemly high end computer, he/she may want to contribute some high end creations to share with Wincustomize.

Having a high end PC dont automatically constitute, plenty of free time...the OP might not have the time to make the vary Dreams he would like to use. Or he may not have the ability/skill/programs needed..I my self am limited on time any more, real life has steped in and left me with enough time to occasionally read the boards and grab a new WB here and there. so I dont feel as comfterble making requests of the community as I used to be. since I have not been an active contributor lately...

While his Post may not be the best worded .. his post holds validity. in requesting more highend dreams..

the skinning communtiy has always been a kind and giving community to outsiders, in the fact of non skinners make a request and usually someone says.. "great idea.. lets do it"..
