ObjectDock Closes whenever I launch a program with it

Whenever I click on an Icon in objectdock, the program opens, but objectdock closes, usually without an error message. Also, I don't know if this is unrelated or not, but coincidentally trillian started closing right after it starts loading and it started doing that on the same day I started having objectdock problems. I have no idea what could be causing this... I have used both of these programs for a while with no problems, and I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary with the programs or their files.

one way to test things - disable all docklets - see if OD behaves
if so, remove all docklets then put them back one at a time to try and spot the offending one.
possibly all you need to do is clear the cache - but that reverts OD to default
Corky O has bunches of OD articles/tutorials (including clearing the cache)
