Dream Previews

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 by Kinjin | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Just a tiny rant...
Why is it that the majority people who know how to make Dreams don't seem to know how to make preview video clips, so we can all see?

Come on, I don't want to get Vista already just to check them out

I have to agree. I can't use Dreams as I don't have Vista, but I would love to see what they look like in action for the hell of it.

When we submit our Dream for upload there is a
section to load a Video Preview - but it has to
be made in .swf file format ONLY ! to have a video preview
In my case the program I have to make a .swf file
only lets me use stills ( jpeg ) not video or mpeg2
So I have made a couple of previews with stills , best
i could to look like video - tuff that was ......

Sooooooooooo I would say to Stardock why must they be .swf
files why not a very short mpg2 ??? for preview - because
as he says here no body is able to make video previews
except the Stardock ones ??? can anyone shed some light
here as to what could be done about that ?

Years ago I used to create flash animations for web pages graphics/games, etc,,

I used a program called Swish.. I havent updated it in years but I know that the program has come a looooong way from when I used it, and it is fairly cheap...

Just a suggestion Azdude, if your interested heres the site WWW Link

Persoanlly I think Dreams should be entirely SWF, they would be much more interactive and not just a movie loop playing in the background..but I guess (as Bichur tells me ) im spechal .. LoL...

Hope it helps..
