How do you make a compact start menu? I've changed the content margins, but the menu doesn't re-size. Thanks!

it isn't the content margins. change the top panel of the start menu to something around 60 to 65 pixels wider than the size of the left panel of the start menu.. you may have to adjust some other setting sif the fore mentioned adjustments cause banding of the start menu. it's been a long time since i've altered a blind but i've given the basics.
